Microsoft releases integrated Microsoft Teams app for Windows and Mac that can be switched between personal and work
Until now, Microsoft Teams has had separate personal apps and work and school apps, but on August 20, 2024, an integrated Microsoft Teams app that can be used by switching between personal accounts, work accounts, and school accounts was finally released.

There are three main types of Microsoft accounts: personal accounts, work accounts, and education accounts. Until now, Microsoft Teams was divided into 'apps that can be used with personal accounts' and 'apps that can be used with work or education accounts.' Therefore, users who have both personal accounts and work or education accounts had to install a separate Teams app for each account.
With this update to Microsoft Teams, you can switch between accounts by selecting your profile picture in the upper right corner of the Microsoft Teams app and selecting your account. A Teams window will open for each account, and they will be displayed side-by-side as shown below.
In addition to supporting personal, work and education accounts in a single Teams app, the experience when switching between accounts has also been improved. You can now select an account when joining a Teams meeting, and you can join as a guest without signing in.
Additionally, if you sign in with your personal email address, you can meet and collaborate with anyone, anytime, for free, and you can also use the Teams community.
