Karpathy points out that there is no such thing as an 'expert who is deeply passionate, good at teaching, infinitely patient, and fluent in all the world's languages,' and that it is impossible to provide individual instruction to all 8 billion people on Earth. He argues that the use of AI teaching assistants is important to ensure that more students can experience ideal learning.

Eureka Labs is a company that develops a new type of educational method that combines human teachers and AI teaching assistants, and aims to realize an educational form in which 'human teachers are in charge of designing teaching materials and support learning with AI teaching assistants optimized for student instruction. ' Mr. Karpathy appeals that by combining human teachers and AI, it is possible to increase both the 'number of students targeted for each subject' and the 'number of subjects each student can study.

Eureka Labs' first product is a course called 'LLM101n' that teaches AI development methods. LLM101n is an undergraduate-level course that teaches how to build a narrative generation AI from scratch using Python, C language, and CUDA, and by completing the course, you will have a deep understanding of AI, large-scale language models, and deep learning. The teaching materials will be provided online, and an offline environment for multiple people to learn will also be provided. An overview of LLM101n can be found at the following link.
