Microsoft stops distribution of 'Windows Update that causes some devices to stop booting'



Microsoft has stopped distribution of the update ' KB5039302 ' for Windows 11. According to Microsoft, a bug has been confirmed in some devices that 'repeatedly restarts the device and the device cannot start up normally.'

The problem was identified in the update 'KB5039302' released on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. According to Microsoft, some devices are experiencing a bug that causes them to 'repeatedly restart and require a recovery operation to restore normal use.'

Microsoft lists 'devices that use virtual machines' and 'devices that use nested virtualization such as Cloud PC, Devbox, and Azure Virtual Desktop' as devices that are susceptible to the vulnerability.

At the time of writing, Microsoft has stopped distributing 'KB5039302' and plans to release an update that resolves the issue in the future.

The problem was found in KB5039302, which included the following updates:

- Addressed an issue where special characters could not be entered when using the Japanese touch keyboard
