According to Google, Veo uses a deep understanding of natural language and visual semantics to create videos that match your intent, such as by inputting prompts like 'timelapse' or 'aerial footage.' The video resolution is 1080p, and it can output videos longer than one minute.

The video below was released by Google as a 'Veo generated video.' It appears to have been completely unedited.

In realizing Veo, the company has leveraged the results of previous research on generative video AI models, such as Generative Query Network (GQN) , DVD-GAN, Imagen-Video , Phenaki ,WALT , VideoPoet, andLumiere .

And now, the company has released a video generation tool called 'VideoFX,' an image generation and editing tool called 'ImageFX,' and a music production tool called 'MusicFX,' all of which use 'Veo.' In accordance with Google's policy of developing tools and technologies responsibly, content created with VideoFX, ImageFX, and MusicFX will be watermarked with SynthID.
