The issue involved VPN connections being dropped and errors occurring across client and server platforms after installing the April 10, 2024 security updates.
The affected platforms are as follows:
Client

Server

Microsoft reported that they are 'currently working on a resolution to this issue and will provide an update in an upcoming release.' Microsoft also told overseas media outlet Bleeping Computer that they are 'investigating user reports and will provide more information in the coming days.'
As a temporary measure, Tom's Hardware, an overseas media outlet, recommends uninstalling the April 2024 security update and rolling back to the previous update. However, Tom's Hardware also states, 'Since rolling back the program will result in the loss of security fixes and improvements found in the April security update, we cannot fully recommend this. Only do this if you are willing to sacrifice safety in order to use a VPN.'
