Traditional App Store guidelines state that 'Try a third-party or social login service such as Facebook Login, Google Login, Sign in with Twitter, LinkedIn Sign in, Amazon Login, or WeChat Login to log in to a user's primary account. Apps that configure and authenticate users must offer Sign in with Apple as an equivalent option. A user's primary account is the user's primary account that allows them to identify themselves in the app, sign in, and access features and related services. This

refers to the account you set up for access.'

However, Apple revised its App Store guidelines in January 2024. It required apps that use third-party or social login services to 'also provide an alternative login service as an equivalent option.'

The requirements for login services stipulated by Apple are as follows.

・It must be a login service that limits data collection to the user's name and email address.
-Allow users to keep their email addresses private as part of their account settings.
-Do not track users while they interact with the app.

According to Apple, the revised guidelines will apply to App Store guidelines worldwide. In addition, Apple says, ``The app must use the company's own account settings and sign-in system exclusively,'' ``The app must be an educational, corporate, or business app that requires signing in with an educational institution or corporate account,'' and ``It must be a government or industry app. Apps that authenticate users using citizen identification systems or electronic IDs supported by ``A client app of a specific third-party service that directly signs into your account'' are privacy-focused. There is no obligation to provide login options.

On the other hand, overseas media 9to5Mac said, ``Are there any sign-in services other than 'Sign in with Apple' that meet these requirements? This revision of Apple's guidelines means that even if it is not explicitly stated in the guidelines, it will continue in the future. This means that developers must continue to use 'Sign in with Apple.'
