Microsoft's chat AI 'Copilot' Android app has quietly appeared on the Google Play Store

It turned out that Microsoft had released Microsoft's interactive AI 'Copilot', previously called 'Bing Chat', on Google Play without making an official announcement.

On December 26, 2023, an X (formerly Twitter) user discovered that Copilot had been quietly released. Since the last update date on the Google Play distribution page is December 19, 2023, the news site Neowin, which first reported this, suggests that the app may have been released on that date. I'm pointing it out.

Android users can obtain the app version of Copilot from the link below.

Tap 'Install' to get the app.

Tap Open.

The screen when using the application looks like the following. The UI looks like just the chat function taken from Microsoft's '

Bing: Chat with AI & GPT-4 '. There is also a toggle button to toggle whether to use GPT-4.

I was able to talk without having to log in with my Microsoft account.

If you log in, you can also generate images with DALL-E 3. Perhaps it doesn't reflect that Microsoft has

rebranded Bing chat to Copilot, but before generating it, it says, 'This is Bing. I'll draw it.'

The Verge, an IT news site, said, ``Given that Bing Chat Enterprise was also integrated into Copilot during the rebrand, the launch of a dedicated Copilot app makes sense to expand the independent Copilot experience.'' It seems like a step. There's no sign of an iOS version launching yet, but it's coming soon.'
