The story is set in a different world called Numazu, which is similar to Numazu City, and the main character is Yohane, who runs a fortune-telling shop.
Ever since he was young, John has admired his favorite picture book, ``Warren and the Bad Mountain,'' and decides to start fortune-telling using a large mirror.
In front of Numazu's friends, he immediately tries to use the mirror to try to tell his fortune, but although the mirror shines for a moment, his fortune-telling fails.
However, it appears that the members of Numazu who have been divined are in poor health.
Yohane is busy looking for medicine and researching literature to make everyone in Numazu healthy.
Then suddenly the mirror lights up.
Before he knew it, John had been sucked into the world inside the mirror.
And in the world inside the mirror, ``Ura Numazu'', none of the usual friends were there, and a mysterious monster was wandering around.
So the game started. The story begins by jumping into the mirror world. Select 'Go to story'.
Select 'Balance'.
Before starting the game, click 'Foretell your fate'.
An initial deck of cards needed to progress through the game will be distributed.
In the world inside the mirror, the style is to move through the Sugoroku-like squares one by one. The square with the monster icon becomes the battle square.
You can understand what the battle scene actually looks like by watching the movie below.
The basic system of the game is that ``you decide your actions based on the five cards in your hand that are dealt to you.'' However, the energy cost is written on the top left of the card, and the total energy that can be used in one turn is capped as written on the left side of the screen. Cards used and cards not used that turn are discarded, and 5 cards are dealt again on the next turn. During the turn, the player goes first, and the action plan of the enemy who goes next is displayed to the left of the enemy's HP in the upper right of the screen.
Basically, there are two types of cards: 'attack cards' that attack the enemy, and 'spell cards' that defend or exert effects. To attack an enemy, select an attack card and select the HP bar of the enemy you want to attack.
I was able to deal 6 damage to the enemy.
If you look at the enemy's action schedule, you will see that it will deal 8 damage attacks. So, use spell cards to put up a shield.
Shield has been increased by +5. Shield value reduces damage received from opponent's attacks. Of course, if you put up a shield that exceeds your opponent's damage value, the damage you receive will be 0. Reduced HP is not automatically restored, and the means to recover HP are quite limited, so the key is how to reduce the damage you receive.
I played cards like that and succeeded in reducing the enemy's HP to 0. The battle ends when all enemies' HP is reduced to 0.
John strikes a victory pose
If you win the battle, you can get rewards such as money, charms, and cards.
Charms are items that have a permanent effect and are displayed at the top of the screen. Charms have very powerful effects, so the more you have, the easier it will be to advance in battle.
You can obtain only one card from three randomly selected cards and add it to your deck. Obtaining strong cards will give you an advantage in battle, but as the number of cards in your deck increases, the probability of drawing strong cards into your hand will decrease, so it is not just a matter of obtaining a large number of cards.
The following cards obtained as rewards are 'summon cards' and are the main feature of the game 'NUMAZU in the MIRAGE'.
Summon cards are cards that are dealt every turn along with 5 cards in your hand. You can only use it once per adventure, and once you use it, it disappears from your deck. I will use the 'Offense and Defense Wings' that I got earlier.
There are two types of summon cards: 'Effects when summoned' and 'Effects while being summoned.' 'Wings of Offense and Defense' gives the effect of 'attack power +2 & defense power +2' when summoned, and in addition, on the 3rd turn after being summoned, 'At the end of the turn, shield +3 & 3 damage to all' 'Yo's card When used, it has the effect of 1 HP recovery & shield +1.
When you use 'Offense and Defense Wings', an animation in which Yo appears will play.
And then, Yo appears on the battlefield. Yo will not participate in the battle, but will have the effect written on the summon card above. However, be careful as the summoned character will only be effective for 3 turns.
As you progress through the stages, you will find a square with a treasure chest icon.
You can open treasure chests and get rewards such as money and charms.
The square with the money icon is a shop square where you can use the money you have earned to purchase cards and charms.
An important feature of Shopmas is the card collection service. As mentioned earlier, even if you add strong cards to your deck, the probability of drawing a card will inevitably decrease as the number of cards in your deck increases. Therefore, it is extremely important to compact your deck by eliminating unnecessary cards. This card collection service will remove this card. However, please note that the card collection service can only be used once per shop mass, and it will cost you more money.
! The icon is event mass.
Something happens randomly. Sometimes good things happen to John, and sometimes bad things happen to him. The following scene is an event called 'losing a card', which seems like a bad event for John, but it is a pretty profitable event in the sense that you can eliminate one card from the deck. However, the cards that are eliminated are random, so if it is a strong card, you will be disappointed.
The coffee mug icon is a rest square.
In the rest space, you can choose between 'rest' which allows you to recover your physical strength, and 'card upgrade' which allows you to upgrade only one card.
Upgrades literally make a card's effect stronger. As you progress through the game, the enemies will become stronger and stronger, so you want to upgrade the effects of your cards as much as possible. However, the rest space is also a valuable opportunity to recover your physical strength, so you have to decide whether to recover your physical strength just in case or strengthen your cards.
At the end of Sugoroku, there is a boss battle square.
Hanamaru of Ura Numazu calls himself ``Night Wicked'' and displays free-spirited behavior. The more Night Wicked becomes active, the more Hanamaru on the front Numazu seems to be deprived of his health, so it is necessary to defeat this Night Wicked Hanamaru.
Boss battle starts. Shishinoshin, who is accompanied by Hanamaru, also participates in the battle.
It will be a boss battle and the damage from the attack will be quite large, so I decided to defeat Shishinoshin first while putting up a shield.
However, due to the effect of the enemy's attack, I received a debuff that increased the damage I received by 1.5 times.
So, he summoned Riko using 'Scholar's Purification'. It uses the effect when summoning, ``Remove all own debuffs & defense +2''.
In order to further recover the reduced HP, summon Hanamaru, which has the effect of 'recovering 10 HP' when summoned.
By fighting while using summon cards like this, I was able to advance the battle with a considerable advantage and defeated Night Wicked Hanamaru.
After defeating Night Wicked Hanamaru, I was able to return to Numazu on the outside.
Hanamaru, who looked sick, also seems to have recovered.
This completes the area of Chapter 1. This is how we will conquer Ura Numazu.
The point of NUMAZU in the MIRAGE is not just to conquer areas, but also to improve your reputation by completing given missions. Select 'Request Notebook' at the Fortune Telling Hall.
With this kind of feeling, various missions are imposed. You can get reputation points by clearing missions.
By consuming the points you get, you will be able to strengthen Yohane and attack Ura Numazu under more advantageous conditions.
'NUMAZU in the MIRAGE' is a deck-building roguelite game, but thanks to the summoning system and reputation points, even people who have never played a deck-building roguelite game can play it. can be done, and the difficulty level is not that high. The stage structure and initially distributed summon cards change each time, and the development is different each time you play, making it highly replayable. The summoning system and character voices are well-developed, and the story is solid, so fans of 'Love Live! Sunshine!!' and 'SUNSHINE in the MIRROR' will be satisfied with the content. I felt that it was.
