Gartner Says Worldwide PC Shipments Declined 9% in Third Quarter of 2023
The following is the preliminary figure for PC shipments in the third quarter of 2023, in million units. All of the top five companies by market share, excluding HP, saw a decline in unit shipments, with an overall decline of 7.6% compared to the same period last year. While HP showed growth due to inventory normalization, Apple has seen a particularly large decline, as the company recovered from the pandemic-induced production shutdown and increased production in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year.
