In order to verify the battery life of the GoPro HERO12 Black, I prepared two GoPro HERO12 Blacks with fully charged batteries, mounted them on my chest and head, and shot a mountain climbing movie until the batteries ran out. The image quality of the GoPro HERO12 Black mounted on the head is set to '4K/60fps', and the GoPro HERO12 Black mounted on the chest is set to '1080p/60fps'. I also set the angle of view to wide, turned on HyperSmooth, and took the picture with all other settings at their default settings.
The GoPro HERO12 Black, which was shot at ``4K/60fps,'' ran out of battery 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 46 seconds after the start of shooting. The movie that I was able to shoot is below.

When we measured the temperature immediately after the battery ran out using an infrared thermography camera, FLIR i3 , we found that the temperature at the bottom of the lens had risen to 55.4 degrees.
The lower part of the back had risen to 47.0 degrees.
At '1080p/60fps', it was possible to continue shooting a movie for 1 hour, 38 minutes, and 46 seconds. The movies shot are as follows.

In the case of '1080p/60fps', the temperature at the bottom of the lens immediately after the battery runs out is 50.0 degrees.
The left side of the back was 43.2 degrees.
We have previously conducted similar battery performance tests on the previous generation models ' GoPro HERO11 Black ' and ' GoPro HERO11 Black Mini ' as well as the rival models ' Osmo Action 4 ' and ' Osmo Action 3 ,' so we have summarized the results for each in the table below. I tried together. GoPro HERO12 Black could shoot for about 8 minutes longer than Osmo Action 4 at 1080p/60fps, but at 4K/60fps the shooting time was about 1 minute shorter than Osmo Action 4.
