As part of annual wage negotiations, trade unions such as CGT, Unsa, CFDT and Cidre-CFTC called for a 7% wage increase to account for inflation and an end to a months-long hiring freeze.

In response to the labor union's demands, Apple France, Apple's French subsidiary, proposed a 4.5% wage increase, but negotiations broke down. According to local media Franceinfo, the strikes took place at 20 Apple Stores in France, ranging from small ones lasting just one hour during business hours to large ones lasting two days on September 22nd and 23rd. , will be implemented in several forms.
