I took my 1-year-old to Playville, a facility for children where they can play to the fullest with a variety of play equipment both indoors and outdoors.
July 2023 was
Playville - A new play area in the park

Regardless of whether you make a same-day reservation or advance reservation, you must complete the procedure on the website to enter Playville. This time, I reserved a ``1DAY pass'' and went to play. If you read the article below, you can easily make a reservation for Playville just by imitating it.
I made a reservation for ``Playville'', which has a wide variety of play equipment and allows everyone from babies to elementary school students to play as much as they want - GIGAZINE
I came to 'Amaiseki Koen' where Playville is located. The building that houses Playville is visible in the far left of the photo.
It's a fine building. Ball games were not allowed on the lawn in front of the facility.
A portion of the lawn is covered with a roof, so you can have a picnic while avoiding direct sunlight. Since eating is prohibited inside the facility, many people seem to eat lunch here.
This is what it looks like when you enter the facility. There is a play building in the back left. The same building housed the park office and meeting rooms.
At the entrance, procedures for using the facility on the day are explained. This time I have reserved a 1-day pass, so I skipped through and proceeded to the back. When making a reservation, you could only select a 1-DAY pass, but you can also select
Complete the admission procedure by presenting the barcode used for reservation at the cash register in front of the entrance gate. Although it was quite crowded, the process took a short time and went smoothly.
You will receive a locker key during the admission process.
Since this is a facility often used by babies, there was quite ample space for strollers.
Go through the gate and enter.
I put my shoes in the shoebox and my stuff in the locker. The size of the locker is as shown in the photo below, and it won't fit very large luggage, but it will be fine if you only have a handbag.
In the photo below, there is a passageway in the middle, with shoe racks and lockers next to it. The structure is such that the left and right spaces are divided by a passageway.
The space on the right was a playground where you could move your body indoors.
The floor is made of soft, cushioned material, so you won't feel any pain if you fall.
There were also areas with age restrictions. 'BABY GARDEN' is a space exclusively for babies, and adults are required to sit down.
There are many toys available for babies to enjoy.
On the other hand, this is an area for ages 2 to 6.
There was a ball pool, slide, jungle gym, etc., and children were running around.
There is also an area for children aged 6 to 10.
A large mat was set up so that you could move your body dynamically.
This is what the restroom area looks like. A nursing room is also available.
In addition to the restrooms for men and women, there was a separate diaper changing room.
Now, let's go to the space on the left side on the opposite side of the facility. The left side is mostly a space with shoes on, and you can see children silently moving their hands, which is a complete contrast to the right side, where children were jumping, jumping, and having fun.
An area where you can freely play with magnetic blocks called 'Mag Formers.'
Children are showing off their creativity.
There was a reading space in the center where you could read all kinds of illustrated books and picture books.
In addition, there are facilities for indoor children to play freely, such as a giant canvas where they can draw as much as they want.
There was running water installed so you could wash your dirty hands.
Vending machines are also available, so don't worry if you get thirsty.
You can exit from this area.
This is what it looks like outside. Because the temperature was high, there were not many children playing outside.
In addition to various play equipment, there was also a fairly large sandbox.
Well, the children looked like they weren't having enough fun, but since the adults ran out of stamina first, they decided to leave. When leaving, you will need to return your key and rescan the barcode you used to enter. If you entered using
If you are using a 1DAY pass and wish to re-enter, you will need to complete the necessary procedures on the reservation site before re-entering. When the exit procedure is completed, a button called 'Re-entry reservation' will appear below the barcode, so tap it.
Then, you will be informed of the waiting time depending on how crowded it is. Please note that you must enter within 30 minutes of the entry time.
At the entrance, toys that could be played with in Playville were available for purchase. Watching your child playing so engrossed with your wallet can make you loosen your purse strings. He is very good at business.
Unlike an outdoor park, children can play indoors in an air-conditioned environment, so they don't have to worry about their children getting heatstroke, and the comfort for parents is also on a whole new level.
In addition, 'Playville', which is a facility that combines indoor and outdoor facilities, only exists in Osaka prefecture at the time of writing, but Bornelund, which operates Playville, has indoor Playville facilities in Kanto, Kansai, Chubu, and Hokkaido. We are running the exclusive version of the facility `` Kidokido '', so if you are interested, please check it out.
