A rogue-like top-down shooter game ``Rebel - Goblin of the Rebellion-'' that you can play for free with only movement operations, a strange addictiveness that steadily acquires skills and powers up

A simple browser game ' Rebel -Rebel Goblin- ' has been released, with automatic attacks and only character movement and skill selection. As a roguelike free game, I reviewed this game, which has a fairly high level and is strangely addictive.

You can start playing right away by visiting the Rebel - Goblin Rebellion page.

You can check the video that shows the state of the game at a glance from the following.

Barrage-based shooting & roguelike free browser game ``Rebel Rebel Goblin'' review, ``Vampire Survivors''-like skills with simple commands only up, down, left and right to repel enemies-YouTube

The character in the center is your character, and the two green characters are the enemies. The red bar on the upper left is your character's physical strength.

You can move your character up, down, left and right with the arrow keys or WASD keys. Your character possesses one ranged weapon, and will automatically attack enemies within range of the weapon.

When an attack hits an enemy, a number showing how much damage was done is displayed.

After continuing to attack several times, I succeeded in defeating the enemy. Fallen enemies drop blue experience items.

This experience value item can be collected by touching the character. Also, if you defeat all the enemies displayed on the screen, it will be collected automatically.

Level up when a certain number of experience points accumulate. You can choose one of the randomly displayed skills, such as 'Power Up' that increases the power of bullets, 'Stretch' that increases movement speed, and 'Nap' that recovers 4 HP.

Defeat all enemies to advance to the next stage. A new enemy is randomly placed and the battle resumes after a 3 second countdown.

At first, the battles themselves are fairly easy because they are all characters with fixed turrets and characters who won't counterattack unless you attack them.

However, as you progress through several stages, the difficulty increases at once. While dodging characters and barrages that are constantly chasing you, you have to hit your own attacks well. If you hit an enemy character or a bullet, your physical strength will decrease, but in some cases it will decrease by 2 in one shot. Since the initial HP is low, the hit is quite fatal.

There are only two means of recovery, 'skills' or 'recovery items'. Recovery items are highlighted in red in the image below, and are occasionally dropped by enemies. However, the drop rate is quite low, so it feels unreliable to rely on it as a means of recovery. You can heal with skills, but it's annoying that your character won't get stronger if you just heal. It's a severe game design that requires you to choose each skill very carefully.

When it comes to the second half, it's no longer a different game.

If you are knocked down, the 'progress rate to the final floor' and 'retry button' will be displayed.

'Rebel -Goblin of the Rebellion-' is a mysterious and addictive game with simple controls and severe difficulty. When I meet a rare skill that appears occasionally or a rare enemy that drops a lot of experience points, I'm convinced that I can clear this...! did not. Players who are confident in their skills should give it a try.
