' The Life Engine ' is a simulation game made with a concept similar to the life game, where you can place cells with different roles such as 'eyes', 'mouth', and 'killer' and watch the movement and life cycle of the cells forever. .

The operation method of The Life Engine is as follows. First, when you access The Life Engine , cells that exist from the beginning will automatically start moving. To stop the cell movement, click the play/stop button at the bottom left of the screen.



To add cells yourself, click the button located at the bottom right of the screen.



Then, various menus and a list of cells are displayed in the lower right of the screen.



There are 8 types of cells, and the function list of each is as follows.

orange Mouth eat adjacent food
green Producer Randomly produce food in adjacent empty cells
light blue Mover Randomly move and rotate
red Killer harm neighboring cells
purple Armor Nullifies killer effects
gray Eye Change the direction of movement according to the cell in front
blue Food nourish the cells
dark gray Wall stop cell movement


If you click 'Editor' and then click the edit button, you can arrange the cells in the black canvas.



It is like this when arranging cells. If it is difficult to arrange the cells by yourself, you can arrange them randomly by clicking the random button on the right.



When the cell structure is completed, you can place the cell on the screen by clicking the '+' button and then clicking inside the screen.



You can add food by clicking the red frame button in the lower left menu and then clicking on the screen.



You can randomly place walls by clicking 'World Controls' and then 'Generate random walls'.



In 'Evolution Controls', you can control cell movements such as 'Probability of producing food', 'Lifespan multiplier', 'Rottion Enabled', and 'One touch kill'. Settings related to reproduction are possible.



In 'Statistics', you can check the transition of the number of cells.



Furthermore, by clicking 'Community Creations' at the top right of the screen, you can browse the worlds and cell placements created by other users.
