It is pointed out that a second signal similar to the mysterious shortwave broadcast 'UVB-76' that has been transmitted from Russia for many years is being transmitted

A second signal has been confirmed operating in a band close to the mysterious Russian shortwave broadcast '

UVB-76 ', which has been known to exist since about 1990. Enthusiast Ringway Manchester approaches the mystery of this signal.

Aficionados know that there are mysterious shortwave broadcasts being sent from within Russia on frequencies of 4625kHz or 6998kHz. It is nicknamed 'The Buzzer' because it keeps beeping 'boom' almost all day long, but its purpose is not clear.

According to Manchester, in addition to the existing frequency, it was found that a new signal was emitted at 4612 kHz.

The new signal is weaker than the original signal, but stronger when received within Russia, suggesting that the source is likely to be in Russia.

The signal was first noted in late 2022, but it's unclear why it suddenly appeared.

The most popular theory was that 'harmonics', which are frequencies that are integer multiples of the original frequency, were confirmed, but in the case of harmonics, it is impossible for both frequencies to sound out of sync. No, it is inconsistent with this case.

Another theory points to possible harassment for prank purposes. UVB-76 has been damaged by radio wave jacking for mischief so far, and mischief such as playing unrelated songs and displaying specific illustrations in

the spectrogram has been done. However, if it is such a prank, it is only necessary to sound the same frequency, and there is no point in sounding different frequencies. Therefore, Mr. Manchester also denies this theory.

What's even more strange is that background voices can be heard from this signal. From this, it is believed that the buzzer sound was not generated directly from the transmitter, but from the device installed in front of the microphone.

Based on these theories, Mr. Manchester speculated, ``It is highly likely that Russia prepared it because it was necessary for some purpose as it continued to attack Ukraine.''
