A popular Instagrammer with beautiful portraits ``posted AI-generated images''
Joss Every, who is gaining popularity on Instagram by posting a beautiful monochrome portrait (personal photograph), revealed that the image he posted was created using image generation AI.

Every's Instagram account, @averyseasonart, was gaining popularity by posting impressive portraits. @averyseasonart made its first post in October 2022, and at the time of writing the article, it has made 183 posts and has 35,000 followers.
What was posted at @averyseasonart was a monochrome portrait featuring a ``sharp face and blurred background'' like the one below. In many cases, Evry would post texts with the subject's name and hometown, along with a plausible anecdote about the subject.

However, as the number of followers increased, Mr. Evry seemed to feel inferior to himself for creating posted images using image generation AI. Midjourney' was used to create it.' Specifically, he used Midjourney to generate multiple images, edited the images using Photoshop and Lightroom, and posted them on Instagram. About the images posted on Instagram, Mr. Evry reveals, ``I use about 85 images generated by image generation AI for each posted image.'' In addition, Mr. Every claims that the process of creating posted images requires a great deal of effort, and describes his work as 'a portrait generated by AI and finished by humans.'
Also, Mr. Evry explained why he was hiding the fact that he was using image generation AI, ``It seems to be the right thing to disclose in various ways that the image was generated by AI. Does a person wearing make-up reveal that they have make-up on?What about cosmetic surgery?Replacing the body of a celebrity on a magazine cover with someone else's body, or using Photoshop extensively in commercial fashion photography? How about doing something like that?'

However, art-related website artnet says, ``While the process of mimicking photorealism may be arduous, the myriad of hashtags attached to each image include 'AI art' and 'images. None of them mentioned anything like “generative AI.” On the contrary, Everly has denied in the past that the images posted were created using image-generating AI, and were shot with a Nikon D810 . I claimed that there was, ”he wrote, criticizing Mr. Evry’s attitude.
Reactions across the internet have been mixed, with some criticizing Evry's disingenuous posting style and others praising the quality of the images he posts. On the other hand, actor Ron Drynan said, ``Don't call yourself a photographer or an artist.
