A fierce man who has created a ``bicycle that you can actually ride'' with concrete and reinforcing steel appears

As if to throw a stone in the bicycle industry where lightness and durability are pursued, a person has appeared who has created a bicycle weighing 134.5 kg whose entire body is made of reinforcing steel and concrete.

The YouTube channel Play To DIY created a bicycle out of concrete. This channel tries out various DIY projects, and some of you may have seen the videos where they made a volcano out of a bunch of matchsticks or stuck a faucet in a watermelon.

For Play To DIY, first make a mold using a board. Carefully adjust the position to match the actual bicycle parts.

Then, we will assemble the wooden frame according to the mold.

Next, create a framework using reinforcing bars and wire.

The framework is placed in a wooden frame and concrete is poured.

This completes the bicycle frame. It's already quite heavy at this point.

Make a frame in the same way and combine the two to complete the body.

Next, Play To DIY will begin making the chain, crank arm, and pedals. Play To DIY uses the gear to attach the chain to that of a real bicycle.

However, instead of using it as is, the surrounding area will be solidified with concrete.

Wrap the chain around it like this.

Next, we poured concrete into the crank arm without mercy.

Next is the pedal. I am measuring the size of the pedals removed from the bicycle.

Pour concrete again.

The once stylish pedals now look like tofu with holes in them.

Next time I'll also add some work to the saddle. Play To DIY removes all parts from the saddle.

The area will be covered with clay instead of concrete.

Then pour concrete.

A saddle that can also be used for interior design has been created.

Play To DIY is trying to make not only the bicycle but also the helmet made of concrete.

Thanks to careful mold making, we were able to create a helmet that maintained its shape.

However, the back side that touches the head is also made of concrete, so it seems very hard.

Next is the handle. As before, it will be made of steel and concrete.

This is what it looked like.

Lastly, the tires are the lifeblood of a bicycle.

I removed everything from the tube and turned it into just a frame.

Naturally, concrete will be poured.

Make two tires like this and complete. Next is assembly.

It seems that the joints between the parts were not made of concrete as expected.

It takes 3 people to assemble.

Let's wrap the chain around it.

Complete.

Play To DIY actually rode a concrete bicycle and showed how it moves smoothly.
