Google Chrome's Windows 7 Windows 8.1 support will end in 2023

Google has announced that it will officially end support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 with the release of Chrome 110 scheduled for February 7, 2023. Older versions of Chrome will continue to work, but new versions of Chrome will not be released for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

Microsoft's extended support for Windows 7 ended on January 14, 2022. In addition, Windows 7 Extended Security Update, a paid support program for businesses, will end on January 10, 2023.

As such, Google Chrome will no longer support Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 after the stable version 110, which will be released on February 7, 2023. If you want to use Chrome version 111 or later, you need to update your OS to Windows 10 or Windows 11.
