Ishigami Jockey made his debut in 2001. He has been riding steeplechase since 2007, and won his first graded steeplechase victory at the Niigata Jump Stakes (JG III, Niigata Racecourse) in August 2013.

Since June 2015, he has been riding Ojuchosan. In 2016, Nakayama Grand Jump (JGI/Nakayama Racecourse), Tokyo Jump Stakes (JGIII/Tokyo Racecourse), Tokyo High Jump (JGII/Tokyo Racecourse), and Nakayama Big Obstacles (JGI/Nakayama Racecourse) were awarded. Won 4 consecutive victories and won the JRA Award as the most victorious obstacle jockey.

His combination with Oju Chosan has been in great shape in 2017 as well, and he has won the Hanshin Spring Jump (JGII/Hanshin Racecourse), Nakayama Grand Jump, Tokyo High Jump, and Nakayama Daijo, and has won the JRA Award for most wins for the second consecutive year. Shined.

In addition, in November 2016, he will ride Dream Sailing in the Kyoto Jump Stakes (JG III, Kyoto Racecourse), and in September 2021, he will ride Turubo in the Hanshin Jump Stakes (JG III, Chukyo Racecourse), and May 2022. In March, won the Kyoto High Jump (JG II, held at Chukyo Racecourse instead) with Tagano Espresso riding. His reach was to win all six JRA graded steeplechase races and all 10 graded steeplechase races.

He is the third person in history to win all six graded steeplechase races, following Jun Takada and Kazuma Mori. Ishigami jockey won the graded prize at the Chukyo Racecourse where the transfer was held, so he won all seven races, but it is not counted because the Chukyo Racecourse does not usually hold a disability graded prize.

Winning all 10 graded races is an unprecedented record.

Ishigami's comment is as follows.

I knew that he was a good jumper, so I was thinking not to make a mistake in the gimmick. The final straight line was almost unresponsive, but the horse mustered its last strength and cut it off. From the time Mr. Kumazawa was riding, I thought that this horse would be better suited for a difficult racecourse like Kokura, so it was true.
I've been performing poorly in Kokura for a long time, and one of my goals was to win the graded prize at Kokura, so I'm happy to win all the tournaments, and I'm more than happy to win the graded prize at Kokura. Having achieved 100 obstacle wins and winning all competitions, I think Ogura is just as good as Asakusa Genki.
The local event will end next week, and the real event will start in September. A big race is about to start, and Ojuchosan is scheduled to return at the beginning of September. All obstacle jockeys will be happy if many people continue to support the steeplechase race, so please continue to support us.
