You can see how the battle of Heroes Hour unfolds by watching the following movie.

Battle of 'Heroes Hour', an interesting strategy that you can just watch-YouTube

When you start Hero's Hour, the following Start screen will be displayed. The default language is English, but if you click the Japanese flag from the flags lined up above, it will become Japanese, so click 'New Game' to play.

When you start playing, you can freely select the game situation. You can choose from a 'duel' mode in which two countries compete for supremacy, or a mode in which up to 10 countries compete for supremacy, but even the simplest 'duel' took 1 hour and 30 minutes to clear, so before you get used to it, the country's It's better to start with a mode with a small number. You can customize not only the number of countries, but also your own or enemy countries, which are 'random' by default.

First, select the country you govern from 11 types.

A human country where you can use units such as 'knights' and 'monks', 'Kingdom of Order' ...

'Wild Avengers' governed by elves

There are many unique countries such as 'Decay', which is dominated by the immortal undead.

In addition, there are 6 types of 'heroes' that can use various skills in one country, and randomly generated heroes also appear in the game, and you can operate them as your own hand pieces.

So, this time, I will select the most orthodox 'Kingdom of Order' as my own country, and start the game with 'Three-Party Feud' that will wage a three-way war with the remaining two random enemy countries.

Then, the map will be automatically generated over a few seconds. One of the points of this game is that you can play in a different environment and location each time.

This map looks like this. The castle in the center is your own city, and the hero you control is straddling the white horse in front of it. Each player, including the CPU, has one city and one hero at the start of the game. From here, the goal at the beginning is to uniform production facilities and other cities, increase the number of heroes, and expand the force.

Heroes Hour is roughly divided into three stages: 'Management', 'Exploration', and 'Battle'. First of all, in this 'Management' screen that opens when you click on the city 'Campbell' that you own, you can build various facilities that can produce the units that will be the force and the resources necessary to produce the units.

Initially, there are only 'upgraded barracks' and 'armory' that can produce new units, and 'bars' that can hire new heroes, but as the city develops, the advanced facilities shown below Will also be able to build.

Next is the search screen for operating the heroes on the map. First of all, right-click near the mountain to repair the 'ore' on the map.

Then, the ore was acquired and the resource on the upper left was added by 1. Also, as the main character moved to the southeast, the map, which was initially black except near the city, expanded a little.

As a result of the hero's actions, the green gauge at the bottom left has decreased slightly. The hero can act for this gauge in one turn.

If you can't do any more, end your turn with 'End Turn'.

Then, somewhere on the map that you can't see yet, the enemy country acts ...

The next day, my new turn came around.

Now, open the management screen of your city again to enhance your strength, and try to produce units from the barracks. It's a little hard to see, but you can produce one unit at a time with 'Make' on the left, and units up to the production limit with 'Max'.

The unit doesn't leave the city if it's just produced, so drag it down.

Then, the unit produced on the map appears. There is almost nothing you can do with a single unit, so right-click on the hero and move it to the hero ...

Join the hero. Drag from left to right to add to the hero's squad.

The hero's unit is now augmented.

If you move the mouse cursor to the icon of the enemy on the map, you can see the difference in strength with the opponent. This time, it seems that I can win because it is 'a little easy', so I decided to challenge by right-clicking.

After 'managing' and 'exploring', the 'battle' begins to fight the hero-led troops and the enemies on the map. Units and heroes can be moved by dragging while left-clicking. Right-click to split the unit, or hold down the shift and drag to join, and determine the positional relationship between the enemy unit on the right side of the map and your army. However, the unit moves automatically, so you don't have to think strictly.

Click 'Start Battle' when the placement is decided.

Then, the unit spread all over the battlefield. The battle is almost automatic.

Heroes and units fight while fluttering ...

Victory by driving the enemy to annihilation.

Winning battles and gaining experience points will allow heroes to level up and acquire new skills.

In addition, the absence of enemies has made it possible to own a 'sawmill' that produces resource timber daily. With this kind of feeling, the basic flow of this game is to repeatedly strengthen your own country and heroes to strengthen your own army.

With such a situation, I expanded the territory to the east and proceeded to conquer the world smoothly ...

An enemy hero suddenly appears during the turn of the enemy country.

And, it was annihilated and defeated due to the overwhelming force difference. The hero died and his city fell, and the game was over.

So, this time, I will change the map with my own country and try again.

Then, no one owned a 'flower field' that could directly produce units in the eyes and nose of my city.

Fortunately, we mass-produced units and strengthened our army.

The unit 'Forest Fairy' mass-produced in the flower garden is defeated immediately because it has little physical strength, but even if it is defeated, it will be revived up to once. What's more, it was a good match for your own unit, whose attack power increases as your allies are defeated, so you can advance with the momentum of a broken bamboo.

Then, the city of the other country is defeated and the game is won .... Heroes Hour searches for a facility that is advantageous to him on the automatically generated map, and uses the synergies of the unit's characteristics to overwhelm the enemy. It is a point game to go on.

Therefore, the strategy elements such as joining the unit to the hero to maintain the strength and advancing the pieces while being aware of the logistics and managing the resources are exquisitely combined with the rogue light element that changes the game characteristics every time. I felt it was a deep game. The battle progresses automatically, but you can enjoy watching the enemy and ally units fighting while yelling.

Whether or not to take an aggressive stance and the decision to withdraw are not without things to do. You can also make the hero remember 'spells' to damage enemy units or heal your own at any time.

However, the button that decides the action is 'decline' ...

The translation is a little sloppy, as the 'order' of the order kingdom becomes an 'order' as it is.

In some places, the meaning of the text has become confusing.

Also, depending on the map that is automatically generated at the beginning, it may be impossible to play or win easily, which is certainly true if it is Rogue Light, but it is also an unreasonable luck factor at worst. Probably because of that, even considering that it was about half a month since the release, the breakthrough rate of normal difficulty was 17.1%, which made it a chewy game for many players. About half a month after its release, the addictiveness, which has been evaluated as 'very popular' with more than 1000 reviews, is genuine, so I would like to expect future brush-ups.

Hero Hour can be purchased on Steam from March 2, 2022, and the price at the time of article creation is 1840 yen including tax.
