Introducing the world's first interchangeable camera lens 'K | Lens One' that allows you to focus after shooting

Introducing the world's first lens 'K | Lens One,' which is compatible with full-frame cameras and is equipped with a light field function that can calculate the depth information of the target and capture the target in three dimensions. Light field shooting is possible for both still images and movies, and by processing with software, it is possible to adjust the focus after shooting, and various expressions are possible.

Light field cameras have been developed so far, but in each case the lens and camera were integrated. The K | Lens One is the world's first full-frame camera compatible light field lens that can be attached to a variety of cameras.

'LYTRO ILLUM', which allows you to freely adjust the focus and exposure later, has evolved compared to the previous 'Lytro' --GIGAZINE.

The 'Image Multiplier' installed in K | Lens One divides the light rays captured by the lens into nine images and projects them onto the camera sensor. These nine images have slightly different shooting angles, which is similar to the feeling of 'taking pictures with nine cameras lined up at the same time.' Humans judge the depth of an object from the parallax created between the image captured by the right eye and the image captured by the left eye. K | Lens One uses the parallax created by nine images to calculate the depth of the image using the AI algorithm of the dedicated software 'SeepDee'.

Not only can you edit the shot video to change the focus, but you can also create content that supports 3D displays and videos and images that can easily exert 3D effects on 2D displays.

Since K | Lens One divides the image to be shot into nine parts, the image divided into nine parts will be displayed on the monitor of the attached camera. The development team has also developed a dedicated external monitor that displays only the central image of these nine images. The dedicated external monitor can be ordered as an option for K | Lens One.

K | Lens One has a suggested retail price of 3599 euros (about 460,000 yen) and is looking for investment at Kickstarter, a crowdfunding site.
