'Sex toys' are mistaken for bombs and explosives disposal spots are dispatched
An object that looked like a grenade was discovered in the German forest, and an explosives disposal team was dispatched.
German police say grenade-shaped item in forest was sex toy
On April 26, 2021, a person jogging in the woods of Passau , Germany, found a bag containing a 'bomb-like object' and reported it to the police.
According to the Associated Press, weapons and unexploded ordnance used in World War II are still frequently found in Germany 75 years after the war. The police who received this report also dispatched an explosives disposal team to take all possible measures.
However, when the explosives disposal team arrived at the scene and examined the contents of the bag, it was found that the 'bomb-like object' was a 'rubber grenade replica'. Local police speculate that the 'bomb-like object' was an 'sex toy' because the same bag as this replica contained a condom and lotion.
'A search on the internet confirmed that our guess was correct. There are actually grenade-shaped sex toys,' said local police.
