NASA's Mars rover 'Perseverance' lands on Mars
NASA 's Perseverance Mars probe launched from a launch facility at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in the United States on July 30, 2020, local time, 293 million miles ( 473,200) from Earth. After traveling a tremendous distance of (10,000 km) for 203 days, I finally arrived on Mars and landed on the surface of the earth. The landing was announced at 5:55 on February 19, 2021 Japan time.

The Mars rover Perseverance was loaded onto the Atlas V rocket and launched from the 41st Launch Facility at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base . Perseverance is a spacecraft sent from Earth to check for traces of life on Mars, collecting surface samples such as rocks and soil on Mars to investigate geology and weather.

It was announced that such Perseverance landed on Mars at 5:55 on February 19, 2021 Japan time. Perseverance landed on the surface of the earth seven minutes after entering the atmosphere of Mars. In the future, Perseverance will begin an exploration mission at Jezero , the crater of Mars.
After landing on Mars, Perseverance's official Twitter tweeted, 'I'm safe on Mars. Perseverance will take you everywhere.'
I'm safe on Mars. Perseverance will get you anywhere.

Also, the official Perseverance Twitter tweeted, 'I've traveled nearly 300 million miles (480 million kilometers), but my journey has just begun,' along with a tweet from NASA's control room on Perseverance. We share photos of staff celebrating the landing.
I've come nearly 300 million miles, and I'm just getting started. Hear from the team about my picture-perfect landing and what comes next.

'This landing is one of the most important moments for NASA, the United States, and global space exploration. We are at the forefront of discovery, so to speak, a pencil to rewrite textbooks,' said NASA Deputy Secretary Steve Jurczyk. It was the moment when I realized that I was shaving. '
Perseverance decelerates when landing on the surface of Mars using a parachute as shown in the illustration below. It seems that the speed at the time of descent reaches 1500 km / h, but the parachute opened at an altitude of about 11 km succeeded in reducing the descent speed to 3.2 km / h.
Boom! Just fired my parachute and felt the jolt as it opened. Slowing down even more.

After that, Perseverance separated from the parachute and landed safely on the surface using a jet engine. The animation below is an image of the moment of landing of Perseverance, not an actual video.
