In recent years, due to excessive commercialism, the movement 'Let's make an anniversary to sell a specific thing!' Is heating up, and every day is some kind of anniversary . June 27 is being recognized internationally as 'Pineapple Day', which seems to be an anniversary unrelated to commercialism that began with casual 'joke'.

Pineapple Day is an anniversary that began in 2011 with Firebase, the development platform for mobile and web applications. Firebase will be acquired by Google in 2014, but in 2011 there were only two employees, only founders James Tamprin and Andrew Lee. On June 27, 2011, Andrew suddenly got caught up with a fierce desire to eat pineapple, and bought a whole pineapple and brought it to work.

Andrew put the pineapple on his desk and told James, who was on the work day, 'Today's 'Pineapple Day', but you didn't bring me a pineapple?' However, James argued, 'Aren't you sure?' In response, Andrew registered as 'Let's bring Pineapple Day to Company' on June 27 of his Google Calendar so that 'Pineapple Day' will be displayed repeatedly every year. It seems to have set it. From Andrew's tweet posted that night, you can feel the indignation to the low recognition rate of 'Pineapple Day'.

'It's the lowest Pineapple Day. No one else has brought me to the company.'

The following year, June 27, 2012, Andrew seems to have completely forgotten 'Pineapple Day'. However, when I went to work, the new recruit Michael's desk had a large, fresh pineapple.

For Andrew and James who are puzzled as 'why pineapple is ...', Michael wrote 'Pinepine day: Let's bring pineapple to company' in the calendar .... You Did they bring a pineapple? '

With this one, Andrew decides June 27 to be the Firebase anniversary. 'Pineapple Day' is supposed to be a great anniversary just like the first day, independence day, and April Fools Day.
