The IEEE (American Telecommunications Society) announced that the restriction has been lifted, which had regulated the review of papers by Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei. According to the statement, the regulation was 'to protect volunteers and members from legal risks'.

According to the IEEE, as the US Department of Commerce applied export restrictions to Huawei Technology and 68 affiliates, it was unclear whether import restrictions would apply to peer review as well, so it was a position to avoid risks. And that Huawei had temporarily restricted peer review.

After that, the restrictions were removed, as there was an explanation about whether the application of export restrictions would apply to IEEE publications, which the IEEE had requested from the Ministry of Commerce.

In addition, although 'surrounding net' over Huawei is still severe, terminals such as

HUAWEI P30 are returned to 'Amazon.co.jp sales and shipping' again at Amazon.co.jp.
