One of the tweets that became a hot topic in this French protest demonstration is the following. This is a twe that pointed out that photographers are photographing photographs as if the Arc de Triomphe which is a symbol of Paris is burning, and it was decided to retweet over 37,000 cases.

However, according to AFP Fact Check, it seems that the photographing date and time and the shooting location are different for the two photos attached to this tweet.

Although criticism of media coverage is a legal act, AFP Fact Check criticizes severely that the tweet of account @ DoveyWan is "not the best example".
These photos were taken on 2 different days in 2 separate places ... and AFP did not find a single photo combining a scooter on fire and the Arc de Triomphe in the background

How the AFP Fact Check conducted the fact check is as follows.
First of all, AFP Fact Check that the sources of the first picture posted by @ DoveyWan and the tweet "why the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is burning" was done was investigated its source. As a result, I found an article on "Libertad Digital Spanish" on the site, "How to turn a protest demonstration in Paris into a hell where photographers were enveloped by fire". This article seems to be deleted at the time of article creation, but it can be confirmed what kind of article was via the web archive and the "photograph of the burning Arc de Triomphe" which became the origin of the problem was posted. This article criticized as "A picture of the Arc de Triomphe" that AFP did not shoot as a picture taken in the style of AFP "Paris burning with a protest demonstration".

Furthermore, as AFP Fact Check continued the survey, it was clear that the "photographs of the Arc de Triomphe" was photographed by photographer Katerine Pierre on 1 December 2018. The 35th piece of the slideshow on the following page is "Pictures of the Arc de Triomphe".

Clearly the second picture posted by @ DoveyWan was taken by a French magazine LePoint photographer on December 8, 2018. The shooting location is Fridoran Avenue in Paris.

Mr. Pierre photographed "Arc de Triomphe photo" was taken at Foch Street in Paris and the Fridoran street where the second photo was taken is on the opposite side across the Arc de Triomphe. From here it is shown that the two photos were taken in completely different places. In addition, it can be judged from the three points reflected in the photograph that the "photographs where the Arc de Triomphe burns" was photographed on Foch Street.
This is verifiable by looking at: The two photos are not the same place. The Hans Lucas photo was taken exactly on the other side of the Arc de Triomphe, on Foch Avenue.
