◆ The idea of 'Mirai of the future'
The idea for the film came when the director Hosoda's children were 3 and 0 years old. The 'love' of her parents went to the baby, and the older child turned over and rolled around and cried.

Director Hosoda, who saw the 'pathetic appearance of a human being who lost love' and thought that even if he became an adult, he would be as upset as he lost love, said that this applies to various generations. He thought that he decided to make it into a movie.

The movie depicts brothers and sisters, but Hosoda himself is an only child. I was envious of the difference, saying that if I had a brother, the conflict over love might have come earlier.

◆ Reason for choosing the role of 'Kun-chan'
Originally, Mr. Kamishiraishi was in the role of Mirai at the audition. Director Hosoda also thought that he was actually a small child or a veteran woman if he was in charge of it because he was a 4-year-old boy.

However, Director Hosoda, who met Mr. Kamishiraishi, came with a pin and asked him to play Kun-chan, and he felt, 'Oh, this is Kun-chan.' He said that he had 'broken' the stereotypes he had.

◆ Director Mamoru Hosoda x Masakatsu Takagi, third tag
This is the third time that Director Hosoda and Mr. Takagi have teamed up, following 'Wolf Children's Rain and Snow' and 'The Boy and the Beast'. Until now, it seems that Mr. Takagi had read and wrote the song when the storyboard was up, but this time, Director Hosoda intended to ask Mr. Takagi from an early stage, so Mr. Takagi who read the first draft thought. He made notes and sketches like sentences and returned them to the director, and he said that he kept in close contact from an earlier stage than before. As a director, he said that he wanted to draw a storyboard while listening to Mr. Takagi's demo.

Mr. Takagi was told about the music of this work, 'I had the impression that SF-like inorganic sounds and natural sounds were fused.' Actually, when the title was 'Kun-chan's mysterious garden' in the initial plot, I was told that I imagined a garden outside the house facing the road, but in the storyboard It turned out that the garden was a 'courtyard', so he calculated that an inorganic atmosphere was necessary and revealed that it became the current music.

The song titles are in English and Latin, such as 'Inner Garden' and 'Hora, Thello'.

The director remembers the M number 'M- ○○' instead of the song title, so he confirmed the soundtrack booklet.

There are ways to put it on like 'Kun-chan's theme' or 'Run away!' According to the scene, but Mr. Takagi means 'I made music with this kind of image'. It is said that it is packed.

◆ The charm of 'Masakatsu Takagi' music
Director Hosoda said that he was surprised from the beginning by exchanging demos. The director himself is making works with the desire to challenge new things and find fun, but Mr. Takagi's music is also not '○○ style', but the originality is fully demonstrated. I praised it as amazing.

In Japan, 'musical originality' is not strongly mentioned, but when Director Hosoda went to France and was interviewed at a film festival, he said, 'Where does that originality come from?
