University of California, Berkeley announces that it will offer popular lectures online for "data science" course free of charge

This online lecture constitutes the "Foundations of Data Science" course started by the University of California, Berkeley in 2015, and is a popular lecture attended by over 1000 students each semester. Professor Paul Alivisatos said that students from linguistics, chemistry, history, economics and more than 60 majors gathered and that the lecture is particularly fast growing among Berkeley schools.

"Computational Thinking with Python" started on April 2, 2018, "Inferential Thinking by Resampling" started on May 22, 2018, "Prediction and Machine Learning" started on July 10, 2018 ". In each case, the learning time per week is 4-6 hours and will be held for 5 weeks.

Participation fee is "free" as mentioned above. However, 99 dollars (about 10,000 yen) to 149 dollars (about 16,000 yen) are required to issue the certificate.
