Research result that atheists are likely to be regarded as immoral
ByCaitlin 'Caity' Tobias
According to the latest study, it became clear that atheists were suspected to have worked wrongly more easily than Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists. Even the same atheists seem to doubt that atheists have worked wrongly than some religion.

In the latest study published at Nature Human Behavior in August 2017 a survey was conducted on the prejudice of people against atheists on more than 3000 subjects in 13 continents on five continents. The 13 countries surveyed have no relation with religion like China and the NetherlandsSecularIt ranges from major countries to countries with many religions such as the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The subject was roughly classified into five categories: Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Atheists.
In the survey, an explanation will be given about the imaginary murderous demon "to kill an animal in childhood and become a teacher after killing an adult and kill five homeless people" in the investigation. Subsequently, half of the subjects said that "the imaginary murderer is likely to be a religion," and that in the other half it is said to be "an atheist is highly likely." After that, when the participants considered the fictional killer being a religion or an atheist, the probability of assuming that "the imaginary murderer is an atheist" is that the homicide is a religion It seems that it was about twice the probability of assuming it. In other words, regardless of the content reported to the subjects, there were overwhelmingly large numbers of subjects who decided that "a killer is an atheist."

The graph below shows which subjects answered fictitious homicide demons to atheists (purple) and religions (red). The vertical axis is a percentage and the horizontal axis is the country from which the surveyed person is from, the line extending vertically from the point shows the range of prediction error. Looking at the graph, the distrust of the atheists is very strongly held by the most religious countries such as the United States, the United Arab Emirates, India and others, and the secular country knows that prejudice is small compared with these countries I will. However, even in the case of prediction errors including in Finland and New Zealand, it is clear that there is bias against atheists in countries other than Finland and New Zealand.
The findings show that even in secular worlds, many people, including atheists, still have the idea that "people will not work wrong if they fear punishment from God" . Professor Wil Jarvey, a psychologist who participated in the study on this, said that "even atheists seem to have anti-ideological prejudices with a similar intuition," "This is the epidemic of the religious norm deeply rooted in society It is believed that it is believed to be derived from the fact that people still believe that religion is a moral safeguard, even in places that are quite secularized now. "
About the results of this survey, the research team says, "It shows that religious beliefs are intuitively regarded as a means of protection against the temptation of immoral acts all over the world."
