As a new standard of USB, there is "USB Type-C" which can be inserted without front and back cables adopted in smart phones and Wi-Fi routers, but "USB 3.2" is another standard different from this. It supports "multi-lane operation" that allows data to be transferred simultaneously in multiple lanes, and can transfer 5 Gbps × 2 lanes or 10 Gbps × 2 lanes.

It is necessary for the device side to support multi-lane operation, but the cable can output speed of 2 GB (16 Gbps) or more per second even with the conventional USB 3.0 cable.
