Twitter has a blocking function as a countermeasure against harassment, but Zelda, the daughter of actor Robin Williams who died the other day, said that he will 'stop using the Internet' after being relentlessly harassed on Twitter and Instagram. Driven into the situation, Twitter has announced improvements to its policy. This type of attack, once blocked, can continue endlessly with new or disposable accounts, but was created by a former Twitter engineer within 7 days to prevent harassment and harassment. We have published ' BlockTogether ' that automatically blocks accounts and allows service users to share a list of blocked accounts.

Block Together is a tool created to prevent harassment that abuses Twitter. Although it is in beta at the time of writing the article, it has a function to generate and share the URL of the block list and block it all at once, and a function to automatically block the account just created. Developer Jacob Hoffman hopes 'this tool will help establish an anti-harassment community.'

So click 'Sign in with Twitter' to try Block Together.

You will be asked for permission to link, so click 'Login'. In addition, although there is 'tweet' in the operation permission, the application does not tweet on the timeline etc.

Then the setting page will open automatically. The top of the checklist says 'Block young accounts that are associated with you by'@username'etc. within 7 days', so you should check it. 'Generate block list URL' will generate a URL if you check it when you want to give the block list to a friend. You can check or

uncheck 'Follow' @blocktogether 'to receive the latest information'.

The page generated from the block list looks like this. The URL cannot be accessed by anyone other than the Block Together user, but it seems to be useful when 'vandalism' occurs in the community to which it belongs.

You can block all users in the list at once by clicking 'Block All'.

'My Blocks' can check the list that you are blocking on Twitter.

If there are users who do not want to block, access Twitter from the list and perform 'unblock' ...

Once registered in 'My Uninstalls', Block Together will no longer automatically block or even block other people's block list pages.

As a test, try tweeting from the account you just created with 'an account that links @Block Together' ...

Your account will be automatically placed on the block list immediately, which will prevent you from getting stuck.
