◆ LAN cable collected

◆ Measurement environment
Measurement was done in a server room with many noises in order to confirm the effect of the shielding that prevents noise as it becomes theoretical to make it not to be affected by noise as the category approaches "7" . The same kind of personal computer (Let's Note SX 1) is put on the front and the back of the rack where the server is located.
First, attach the LAN cable to one computer. The port speed corresponds to 1 Gbps, it is made by Intel.
Pass the front of the server.
Up.
Pass the server over the shelf on which it is located.
Then go through the back of the server ......
Connect to another computer. In fact, by passing near the server, it made the cable more susceptible to the influence of noise from the server group.
As the measuring software, the latest LAN speed measurement dedicated software "LAN Speed Test v 2.0.8I will use it. The reason for choosing this software is to exclude the influence of the cache function that Windows own system has. Because there are many cases where there are differences depending on the cache in transferring read / write files simply prepared, let's try to give more real measured values by using this software.
As a measurement rule, we measured 5 times per LAN cable and recorded the results of Writing and Reading. The unit uses Mbps. Categories 6a and 7 correspond to 10 Gbps, but this time we measured using a computer equipped with 1 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet adapter instead of 10 Gbps. Also, we stop all resident software such as antivirus software that influence speed, so that no communication or filtering other than measurement is taken. Furthermore, in order to suppress extreme errors and averaging, the maximum value and the minimum value for each cable are excluded, and the average value for each cable is calculated with the remaining value.

The maximum writing speed is about 630 Mbps, the minimum is about 607 Mbps, the difference is about 23 Mbps. The maximum reading speed is about 752 Mbps, the minimum is about 740 Mbps, the difference is about 12 Mbps. Both of the results show that the difference for each category is not as large as I thought. Will it actually move on to the next manufacturer's test as to whether Colle is peculiar to Elecom or whether other companies will have similar results.

The difference in reading speed is about 753 Mbps at the maximum, about 746 Mbps at the lowest, and the difference is only about 7 Mbps. What is the difference for each category?
