Although it is a microblogging service "Twitter" with a sense of spread in Japan, I announced that NTT DoCoMo will partner with Twitter, which operates the service.

According to NTT docomo's press release, the company has signed a contract for a strategic alliance that involves using Twitter and Tweets from the United States for various applications of docomo.

NTT DoCoMo will further consider advanced service development incorporating the characteristics of Twitter and promote further development of communication and service offering unique to DoCoMo. Specifically, we are promoting service development on both i-mode mobile phones and smart phones and preinstalling Twitter apps as soon as they are ready.

One example of a service under development. Display tweets and contents related to search words on the search result screen in real time. For i-mode mobile phones, it will be available from the summer of 2011, for smartphones in winter 2011 or later.


Touch & Follow Function "that allows you to register followers by iC communication of the terminal by simply holding each other's mobile phones for i-mode mobile phones. SOFTBANK MOBILE already introduces Twitter client to its own terminal, but I'm wondering what kind of "DoCoMo's unique" future is going to be launched in the future.
