You can take pictures and create photos that can be used as wallpaper as it is, use the art filter function of Olympus "PEN E-PL 1"

Olympus "PEN E-PL 1What is characteristic as a function of "PEN E - P2" inherited "art filter". It is like saying that it was processed with Photoshop etc, the official website can make it by just shooting "artistic expression".

"E-PL1" has six kinds of art filters, and the variation itself is smaller than "E-P2" itself, but after some filters are omitted, some new filters It seems to be in the form of adding a filter called "Gentle sepia" to one type. I tried very hard to compare with the existing filter of "E-P2" what kind of difference is in the finish of the filter. Since "art filter" was also usable for movie shooting, I tried shooting sepia color movies with a new filter as well.

Details are as below.OLYMPUS PEN Lite E-PL1 | Digital single lens reflex camera | Olympus Imaging

I started shopping in Osaka's downtown · Umeda and photographed various things.

◆ Night view around Umeda station

It was taken in normal "iAUTO" mode.

"Pop art" which makes kids dirty in everyday scenes with pops. The color is quite vivid and strong.

"Fantastic Focus" that gives a feeling of soft and relaxed. It became an atmosphere like a glittering skyscraper, and it seems that this one wall will become the desktop wallpaper as it is.

"Rough monochrome" that produces a black-and-white photograph with a strong contrast

"Toy Photo" that adjusts the amount of light and color of the surroundings as if took it with a toy camera

"Diorama" that makes landscape photos look as though they were dioramas. It slightly blurs the front focus and it will appear directing the diorama likeness.

Finally "Gentle sepia". Because it was a night view, black strongly appeared, it became an unusual atmosphere.

First of all, it is one piece with "iAUTO".

○ "Pop Art". From now on, we will add a circle to the filter that is also adopted for "E-PL1".

○ "Fantastic Focus"

"Daydream" was not in "E-PL1". Because the finish is similar to "Fantastic Focus", was it omitted for that reason?

"Light tone" is also one of the omitted filters. It is said that directing the style shot with fine lighting is directed, and the whole is getting dark compared to "iAUTO" but the atmosphere is softened.

○ "Rough monochrome"

○ "Toy Photo"

○ "Diorama"

"Cross process" is to express unexpected and unrealistic atmosphere by causing unexpected coloring and falling colors, but it is true that the subject that looked like it had so far suffered from a sudden horror tone It seems that it produces a fantastic outcome such as becoming garish color scheme. It might be omitted owing to the fact that it was slightly stifling and distinctive compared with other filters.

Finally, I tried what happens when filtering not only the landscape but also the still life.

I applied "diorama", but there is not much change. Due to the characteristics of the filter, it seems that it can not exert its effect very much when taking a still object at a short distance.

I felt that there was no extreme difference in the degree of how much the filter was applied, even if I took this far and the lens type is the same. Also, the finishing of those filters is pretty good enough to make it think that the filter remaining in "E-PL 1" was a chosen one, take a picture that can be taken as it is for wallpaper I felt that it is also possible enough. However, since the feeling of operability was quite different, such as the shutter of "E-P2" being sharper than the "E-PL 1" in a form which is more responsive, the person who emphasizes such part once to operate the real thing I will recommend it.

Finally, I took a movie using the "Gentle sepia" filter added from "E-PL1". For those who want to take movies or photographs with a little taste, "E-PL 1" may be said to be affordable because the unexplored scenery changes perfectly into a sepia-colored memorable-style movie .
