I applied for this measurement in advanceHotspot · Express(390 yen per month until September 2009, initial cost free) used. Start using the laptop computer (CF - W 5) at Shin - Osaka station 's waiting room and enter the bullet train as it is. We started downloading an HD movie file of 2 GB size close to the FTP server which was installed in advance at home at the time of departing just at 6 am and continued to record the down speed in real time every second It was.

Enter your ID and password to login, and make it available. If it is somehow in the station premises radio waves are strong enough to connect anywhere even if it is not in the waiting room, so go go to the Shinkansen as it is.

At the same time as departure, FTP starts downloading and starts speed measurement.
What a sense of stability, this is amazing.
About 100 KB / sec keeps going out steady all the time.
As for the N700 series there are outlets in this way at the front of the window side and the rear most side, so the power supply of the laptop computer will be supplied from here.

Clearly, it is the level that you do not need to use any of WILLCOM, AU, EMOBILE, NTT DOCOMO. I wonder if this can be understood by looking at the graph above. There was not a person communicating elsewhere in the same vehicle, but it seems that the speed is limited to about 110 KB per second, and even if several people are connected at the same time, unless it is good I wonder if there is no problem. It is quite a good service because it is more comfortable than I thought. As expected, there are things that only appeared with fullness.
