In 2010, Intel's multi-core CPU will be 32 cores
According to the multicore processor plan, code name "Keifer" which is being done at Intel, it seems that it becomes 32 CPU core CPU which evolved from dual core now as 2009 or 2010 as soon as possible. Since it is 8 threads × 4 cores, there will be 128 threads in all.
Details are as follows.
Intel aims for 32 cores by 2010 | TG Daily

I think that it is not known how fast it is 32 cores, so it is about 15 times faster than the dual core Intel Xeon processor 5130 (2 GHz) compared with the current CPU. On the contrary, it seems that from the speed of 1/15 of the current CPU, the same degree of impact as when it reaches the current level can be obtained.
What about power consumption and cost?
