Konami has announced that it will be selling limited-edition pet products in collaboration with the Metal Gear series and Uno at CatCon, which will be held on October 10th and 11th, 2026. This is part of the promotion for ' METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2, ' which is scheduled to be released on August 27th, 2026.

The items for sale include cardboard boxes (large enough for cats to fit inside) familiar from the Metal Gear series, as well as plush toys and cat collars themed after ' Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker' and 'Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots .'
These items will be sold at the CatCon venue and OKS Gear during CatCon. Gaming media outlet Polygon commented, 'With limited quantities available, they will be a prime target for scalpers.'
Furthermore, Konami's booth at CatCon will host a meet-and-greet with Uno, a popular cat influencer. Uno has 3 million followers on TikTok , 357,000 on YouTube, and 207,000 on Instagram .
CatCon is not only an event where thousands of cat products are on display, but also where hundreds of stray cats can find owners. At CatCon 2025, a total of 1,500 stray cats were adopted, and $400,000 (approximately 64 million yen) was donated to support cat rescue organizations.
