Which is more common among GIGAZINE readers: Android or iPhone? We also investigated the breakdown by Android smartphone manufacturer.

Smartphones are used in a variety of everyday situations, and the app environment, camera, price range, and accessory choices vary depending on the OS and manufacturer, making them an important indicator for understanding GIGAZINE's readership. Therefore, in a survey for a giveaway campaign that GIGAZINE conducts three times a year, we asked whether people use Android or iPhone, and if they are Android users, which manufacturer they prefer.

First, we asked the question, 'Please tell us about the smartphone you are using. (Multiple answers allowed).' The results are as follows.

Android was the most popular at 55.5%, followed by iPhone at 42.3%, meaning Android surpassed iPhone by approximately 13.2%. 1.9% answered 'Don't know/Don't use,' and 0.3% answered 'Other.' Among GIGAZINE readers, Android accounts for the majority, while iPhones also make up over 40%.
