A new flavor of the popular energy drink 'Red Bull,' called ' Red Bull Cherry Edition ,' will be released on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026. It is said to have a spring-like flavor, with the fruity taste of cherries combined with the aroma reminiscent of cherry blossoms, so I immediately tried it to see what it tastes like.

It contains no fruit juice.

The ingredients include sugar, glucose, acidulant, carbonation, L-arginine, flavoring, caffeine, coloring (purple carrot, grape pigment), and niacin. It contains 45kcal per 100ml. Since the volume is 250ml, one bottle contains 112.5kcal. It contains 32mg of caffeine per 100ml (80mg per bottle).

For reference, a regular 250ml can of Red Bull contains 46kcal per 100ml (115kcal per can) and 32mg of caffeine per 100ml (80mg per can).

I poured 'Red Bull Cherry Edition' into a clear glass. The liquid's color is red, reminiscent of a cherry.

Upon trying it, I found it to have a sweet and sour, fruity flavor reminiscent of cherries and strawberries, with the added aroma of cherry blossoms creating a vibrant and spring-like flavor. Its refreshing taste makes it the perfect energy drink for when you want to refresh yourself during work or study breaks.

The suggested retail price for 'Red Bull Cherry Edition' is 213 yen (excluding tax), and it will be available from March 31st, 2026 (Tuesday) at convenience stores, supermarkets, drugstores, and online retailers nationwide. At the time of writing, a 24-pack was available on Amazon.co.jp for 4820 yen (including tax), which works out to about 201 yen per can.
