It Took Me 30 Years to Solve this VFX Problem - YouTube
When you photograph against a green screen, the outline of the subject inevitably blends with the green background.

This results in pixels where the subject's color and the green screen's color are mixed, making it difficult for traditional

Even the latest AI-powered solutions typically output coarse
CorridorKey was developed to solve this problem. When given a frame containing a green screen as input, the neural network completely separates the foreground object from the green screen. It predicts the true, unmultiplied straight color and a clean, linear alpha channel for every pixel of the foreground element, including highly transparent pixels such as motion blur and out-of-focus edges. Rather than simply guessing whether something is opaque or transparent, it actively reconstructs the color of the foreground object as if the green screen had never existed in the first place.
Here's how CorridorKey actually processes the green screen:
Even hair, which is difficult to composite using a green screen, is perfectly handled.

Even in footage with fast-paced movement, the background and foreground objects (people) are perfectly separated.

Even 'water in a clear glass,' which is difficult to process with a green screen, is processed as if the background was never green in the first place.

Corridor Crew recommends a fork of CorridorKey, and in the comments section of their video, they introduce 'EZ-CorridorKey,' a version with VRAM limited to 6GB.

CorridorKey was designed and developed on Puget Systems , a Linux workstation equipped with an NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 with 96GB of VRAM, but the latest build reportedly works on computers with 6-8GB of VRAM and also runs without problems on Macs with an M1 processor .

Compositing Academy , a YouTube channel where you can learn about VFX and compositing , has released a video testing CorridorKey, giving it its seal of approval and stating that 'combining CorridorKey with other keyers maximizes its advantages.'
