'Tetsunabe no Jan!' is a cooking manga that follows Akiyama Jan, a devilish Chinese chef who will stop at nothing to defeat his opponents, as he engages in unconventional battles with his unique rivals.

Despite being the main character, Jean's behavior, which makes him seem like a villain, has often been a hot topic on social media, but this is the first time it has been made into an anime, and an official comment has been made saying, 'No one knows why it hasn't been made into an anime before.' In preparation for the anime's broadcast, the creators have expressed their enthusiasm, saying, 'In this modern age of compliance, Jean challenges the world with the ultimate cooking technique!!!' The trailer also includes a warning that 'out of respect for the social climate and depictions at the time the original work was released, it may contain extreme depictions.'

The director is Aoki Ei, who has worked on Overtake!, ID: Invaded, Re:Creators , and Aldnoah.Zero . The series composition is handled by Uezu Makoto, who has worked on KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!, The Heroic Legend of Arslan , and Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- .

Many top Chinese restaurants are participating in the creation of the dishes for the anime. According to one of the participating restaurants, Nanpo Chinese Restaurant Nanzo , during a meeting it was suggested that Takako Sato , a well-known Chinese food coordinator, be asked to arrange a chef, and so Sato is now involved in the 'food supervision and coordination.'

The anime 'Tetsunabe no Jan!' is scheduled to air on TV Tokyo in 2026.

The original manga has been published in 13 volumes by MF Bunko.
