Daisen Dairy, the maker of 'Shirobara Milk,' released 'Shirobara Cocoa,' a limited-time drink featuring milk, so I tried it.
As a limited-time new product from Daisen Dairy, known for 'White Rose Milk' and 'White Rose Coffee,' ' White Rose Cocoa ' was released on Monday, November 3, 2025, so I saw it at a convenience store and bought it and tried it.

The package of 'Shirobara Cocoa' looks like this, and it appeals to the fact that it is 'milk cocoa made by Daisen Dairy.'
It is said to be 'milk cocoa with milk as the main ingredient.'
It contains 55 kcal per 100 ml, so a 500 ml pack contains 275 kcal. The ingredients are listed as 'milk (domestically produced), dairy products, sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, cocoa, salt/cellulose, emulsifier, stabilizer (thickening polysaccharide), flavoring.' Even though they're both Daisen Dairy's dairy beverages, Shirobara Coffee is made with 'raw milk (over 50%),' while Shirobara Fruit is made with 'raw milk (less than 50%),' so there's a slight difference.
I poured it into a glass. It was clear that the liquid was slightly thick when I poured it, and when I drank it, it wasn't thick, but had a slightly chewy texture. From within, the sweetness of the cocoa spread, along with the mellow flavor of milk, which didn't overpower the sweetness. It had the feel of a strong iced cocoa, but it wasn't grainy and had a unique chewy texture, so some people might like it and others might not.
The package said, 'It's delicious even when heated,' so I poured it into a cup and heated it to just over 50°C. The viscosity disappeared. While it was easier to drink, it also turned into a hot cocoa with a slightly weaker cocoa flavor and a strong sweetness. However, once I saw it like this, I realized that the viscosity was addictive.
'Shirobara Cocoa' is available in 500ml and 1000ml sizes and is available at convenience stores Family Mart and 7-Eleven in the Kansai and Chugoku/Shikoku areas, Lawson in the Chugoku area, and mass retailers in the Sanin area such as Hock, Marui, Sun Mart, S-Mart, Toho Store, Marugo, Yume Town, and Kawee's Milk Hall. This time, I found the last bottle left at Family Mart.
