iPhone Air Durability test -- I AM SHOCKED - YouTube
The iPhone Air is 5.6mm thin and is described as the 'thinnest iPhone ever.' The back features Apple's proprietary 'Ceramic Shield' coating, which is four times more scratch-resistant than the previous iPhone 16 series. The front features 'Ceramic Shield 2,' which is three times more scratch-resistant than the previous model.
So, JerryRigEverything immediately ran a scratch test on the front of a brand new iPhone Air, using a device with a hardness rating of 2 to 9 on the Mohs scale.

The result was absolutely scratch-free. 'Ceramic Shield 2 is stronger than ever,' says JerryRigEverything.

The front glass of the iPhone Air has a reflective coating. When comparing the reflection with

I tried scratching the front with a cutter knife, but there was no noticeable change.

The titanium frame surrounding it was scraped away.

There are no particular problems with the back.

The Apple logo won't be scratched either.

The glass covering the camera lens is also intact.

The light cover is made of plastic, so it can be easily scratched with a utility knife.

Next, burn the front with a lighter flame.

It was exposed to heat for about 40 seconds, but its water resistance did not seem to be compromised.

Next, JerryRigEverything bent the iPhone Air as hard as they could. Whether they bent it from the front or the back, it bent a little, but bounced back nicely.

As a last resort, we use pulleys to perform durability tests.

Even after applying 88 kg of force, the screen bent but there was no scratch on it. However, there was a 'creaking' sound coming from inside.

I finally broke the ice at 97kg.

The front glass is shattered.

However, the rear glass was undamaged.
