E-paper has many advantages, including being easy to read, consuming little power, and being highly visible even in sunlight, making it ideal as an auxiliary display for mobile devices.
E Ink says that with this touchpad display, you'll be able to see the weather forecast, take notes, view meeting notes, and display personalized cover art, even when the device is powered off.
However, no specific information has been released yet about the devices that will be equipped with the touchpad. It is also unclear whether the touchpad can be replaced with an existing one.
