Alphabet's attempt to acquire Wiz was rumored in the summer of 2024, when it was said to be for $23 billion (about 3.43 trillion yen), but Wiz rejected the offer and the deal fell through.

Wiz is a company that provides cybersecurity for cloud computing, and as demand for computing power for AI applications increases, it is one of the pieces that Google wants to acquire customers for its cloud services.
Alphabet's largest acquisition to date was the acquisition of Motorola Mobility in 2011 for $12.5 billion (approximately 1.84 trillion yen), which shows how much effort it is putting into acquiring Wiz, for which it has prepared $23 billion as of the summer of 2024.

One of the reasons the deal fell through, according to news site TechCrunch, was that the two sides couldn't reach an agreement on whether Wiz would be integrated into Google's cloud division or remain a standalone business, but it's unclear what terms Alphabet is offering for a new deal.
A Wiz spokesperson declined to comment on the acquisition.
