Amazon has announced that it will end all support for Amazon Chime, including hosting, managing users, and calling features, on February 20, 2026. Prior to this, Amazon has revealed that it will no longer accept new users for Amazon Chime after February 19, 2025.

If you do not create an Amazon Chime team or enterprise account by February 19, 2025, you will no longer have access to calling capabilities, the ability to schedule and host video meetings, add and manage users, and other features supported through the Amazon Chime admin console.

'We understand that you may need help migrating from Amazon Chime to other collaboration solutions,' Amazon said, and has posted documentation on migration features for Amazon Chime users, such as getting a list of members and exporting contacts. It also encourages users to migrate to alternative solutions, such as AWS Wickr, Zoom, or Slack.

According to Business Insider, Amazon will use Zoom as its official conferencing app . An Amazon spokesperson told TechCrunch, 'When we decide to discontinue a service or feature, it's usually because we've introduced something better or our partner has provided a solution that works better for our employees and customers. In the case of Amazon Chime, its use outside of Amazon was very limited. Our partner, on the other hand, provides a great collaboration solution, so we're moving to that.'
