Even after scraping the surface to make it shiny, the 'Color Edition of the Jade Bone Specimen' is still colorful and the skeleton is visible through it.

Yoshimoto Art Factory is also known for selling full-color 3D prints of the 'nouveau riche man' who lights a 100-yen note for light, as depicted in Wada Kunibo's 'The Glorious Age of Nouveau Riche,' one of the most famous works of caricature.

In addition to the 'Nouveau Riche Uncle,' they also sell an item called the 'Palace of the Bone Specimen,' which is printed using pure clear ink, allowing you to see through to the internal skeleton. When you purchase this specimen, it is slightly translucent, but you can polish it up to become shiny and see-through.

In addition to killer whales, the lineup is expanding to include house cats and penguins.

At Wonder Festival 2025 [Winter], a new patented 'Color Edition of the Jade Bone Specimen' was exhibited. With conventional full-color 3D printing, only the surface is colored, so there is a problem that the color is lost when polished during the finishing process. However, Yoshimoto Art Factory has developed a unique technology that forms a color layer 0.5 mm inside the transparent outer layer. It is said that the vivid color can be maintained even after polishing.

There are four different color versions of the jade bone specimens.
'Emperor Penguin (S)'. The skeleton can be seen through the faint black body color.

'Domestic cat (S).' The right ear is black and the left ear is brown, like a calico cat. Even with its mouth closed, the skull is visible, revealing its fangs.

'Shiba Inu (S)' With its brown body color, it looks fluffy even though it has no fur.

'Killer Whale (S)'. The black coloring on the upper part of the body makes it even easier to tell that it's a killer whale.

The color versions of the 'Palace Bone Specimens' were sold for 7,000 yen each, including tax.
As you can see from the 'S' markings, there are also larger sizes of pearl bone specimens. These are, from the left, 'Blue Whale (XL)', 'Gray Whale (XL)', and 'Killer Whale (XL)'.

'Emperor Penguin (XL)', 'Shiba Inu (XL)', and 'Domestic Cat (XL)'. In the XL size, the details of the internal skeleton are clearly visible, making the penguin look a little creepier.

There are also dinosaur bones. These are 'Triceratops (XL)' and 'Tyrannosaurus (XL)'. Both XL items were on display only.

There was also a 'transparent human skeleton.' The small one on the left is 92mm and costs 7,000 yen including tax, and the large one on the right is 141mm and costs 22,000 yen including tax.
