I tried Burger King's 'Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper' using the mild-tasting 'Special Green Goddess Sauce'

On January 10, 2025, Burger King released three mushroom wappers, large and small, using a salad dressing called '

Green Goddess '. It is characterized by its 'special green goddess sauce', which is sour cream with the scent of four herbs, oregano, thyme, parsley, and tarragon, and the sourness of lemon. I actually tried eating it to see what it tasted like.

A new addition to our hit product, the 'Mushroom Whopper'! We have developed a special sauce that uses four luxurious kinds of mushrooms and a milky, refreshing sour cream that goes perfectly with them! The 'Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper' is now available for a limited time only.

At Burger King, I bought the small-sized ' Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper Jr. ', the regular-sized ' Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper ,' and the ' Green Goddess Double Mushroom Whopper ' with two beef patties.

It looks like this. On the left is the Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper Jr., in the middle is the Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper, and on the right is the Green Goddess Double Mushroom Whopper.

From the top, it looks like this. Only the 'Jr.' is slightly smaller in overall size, including the buns.

Comparing the two halves of the burger, the difference in ingredients is easy to see; the 'Jr.' seems to be smaller overall, while the regular size is half patty and half vegetables, and the 'Double' has two patties and a few more vegetables.

Each one was stuffed with lettuce, tomato, onion, mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, and bunashimeji mushrooms, and was drizzled with white Green Goddess sauce.

First, I tried the Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper Jr. The Green Goddess sauce has a mild taste similar to French dressing, and it has a slightly sour taste immediately after touching your tongue, but it quickly fades away and only the mildness remains. It's a good sauce that combines the patty and vegetables while suppressing the green smell of the vegetables.

Next, I tried the Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper. The size of the patty is larger than the 'Jr.', so the presence of the vegetables is less pronounced, and the patty and vegetables blend better together for a better balance. The alternating sourness of the tomato and the neutral taste of the mushrooms are also good.

Finally, I tried the Green Goddess Double Mushroom Whopper. As expected, it was heavy and the vegetables and patty were quite overwhelming. The 'burnt aroma' that is unique to Burger King patties finally came to the fore with this product, and the Burger King feel was fully realized.

The single item prices are 790 yen (tax included) for the Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper, 1140 yen (tax included) for the Green Goddess Double Mushroom Whopper, and 490 yen (tax included) for the Green Goddess Mushroom Whopper Jr.
