The solar beach umbrella, which Anker announced at CES 2025 , the world's largest consumer electronics trade show, which has been held since January 7, 2025, will be released as part of the company's 'SOLIX' series, which is designed with power outages and disaster prevention in mind.

There are already many solar beach umbrellas on the market, but Anker's product is unique in that it uses perovskite solar cells .
Perovskite solar cells, which are made by layering a perovskite film on a silicon-based solar cell, have excellent energy efficiency in blue light, which is a weakness of conventional crystalline silicon solar cells, and are therefore capable of achieving a conversion efficiency of up to 43%.
This is significantly better performance than conventional solar panels, which are said to convert sunlight into energy with an efficiency of up to approximately 24%, with a theoretical efficiency of approximately 30%.
Anker says its perovskite solar cells 'perform 30% better than crystalline silicon solar cells in bright light and are twice as efficient in dim light.'
The parasol is about 215cm tall, with a diameter of 190cm, and its weight and other specifications are unknown. It is IP67 rated , so it is designed to withstand sand and rain, and is expected to be used on vacations at resorts and at the beach.
At the time of writing, the price of the solar beach umbrella has not been announced, but is expected to be revealed in the spring or summer of 2025.
In addition, Anker will also announce new products at CES 2025, including the second generation of its portable refrigerator 'EverFrost,' the 'Solix EverFrost 2,' and a karaoke speaker equipped with AI voice cancellation function.
The Solix EverFrost 2 is capable of cooling for up to 104 hours thanks to two 288Wh lithium-ion iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, and can charge gadgets via a 60W USB Type-C and 12W USB Type-A socket, as well as 100W solar power, a 12V car socket, AC power, or USB Type-C connection.
The prices are $699 for the 23L model, $749 for the 40L model, and $999 for the 58L model, and pre-orders for the 40L and 58L models will begin on February 21, 2025. The smaller 23L model is expected to be released in the second quarter.
