A review of Starbucks' 7-Eleven limited edition drinks 'GRAB&GO Iced Black', 'GRAB&GO Iced Latte' and 'CAFÉ FAVORITES Cafe Latte'

Starbucks and Suntory have announced that they will be releasing their jointly developed bottled coffee products 'GRAB & GO Iced Black,' 'GRAB & GO Iced Latte,' and 'CAFÉ FAVORITES Cafe Latte' at 7-Eleven stores from Tuesday, November 12, 2024, with new packaging and flavors to coincide with the holiday season at the end of 2024. I received a pair of these from Starbucks early, so I tried drinking them to see what they tasted like.

Starbucks' PET bottled coffee series will be available in three holiday season limited edition packages starting November 12th (Tuesday) at 7-Eleven stores nationwide. Enjoy a wonderful holiday season with the seasonal 'Starbucks® GRAB&GO Iced Black,' 'GRAB&GO Iced Latte,' and 'Starbucks® CAFÉ FAVORITES Caffe Latte.' - Starbucks Stories Japan

First, try 'GRAB & GO Iced Black'.

The raw materials are coffee (produced domestically) and flavoring. The content is 500 ml and the calories are 0 kcal per 100 ml.

I poured it into a clear glass.

Although it is unsweetened black coffee, it has almost no acidity or unpleasant taste that is typical of coffee, and has a very clear taste. After drinking it, the aroma of coffee remains in your mouth, but the aftertaste is refreshing. The editorial staff who tried it commented that 'It gives the impression of iced coffee after the ice has melted, and although it feels like coffee, it is not heavy at all, for better or worse, and is easy to drink.'

Next time I'll try the 'GRAB & GO Iced Latte'.

The ingredients are milk (domestically produced), sugar, coffee, whole milk powder, skim milk powder, dextrin, flavoring, emulsifier, and sodium caseinate. The content is 500 ml and the calories are 32 kcal per 100 ml.

I poured the contents into a clear glass. It was a beige color, just like a regular latte.

Although it is called a 'latte,' the taste is more like coffee with lots of fresh milk poured in. The coffee aroma is weaker than that of 'GRAB&GO Iced Black,' and it has a mellow taste. It has a sweet taste, but it disappears quickly after drinking.

Finally, I tried the 'CAFÉ FAVORITES Cafe Latte.'

The ingredients are milk (domestically produced), sugar, coffee, whole milk powder, skim milk powder, dextrin, flavoring, emulsifier, and sodium caseinate, the same as 'GRAB & GO Iced Latte'. The content is 280 ml and the calories are 36 kcal per 100 ml.

I poured it into a clear glass. It looks a little darker than the 'GRAB&GO Iced Latte.'

When you try the 'CAFÉ FAVORITES Caffe Latte,' you'll notice that it's quite different from the 'GRAB&GO Iced Latte.' It has a milky taste and a strong coffee aroma, and is quite rich on the palate. The sweetness itself is the same as the 'GRAB&GO Iced Latte,' but the aroma and aftertaste linger after drinking, so it's recommended for those who want a richer taste.

The holiday season limited edition packages for 'GRAB & GO Iced Black', 'GRAB & GO Iced Latte' and 'CAFÉ FAVORITES Cafe Latte' will be available at 7-Eleven stores nationwide on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The suggested retail price is 168 yen (excluding tax) for 'GRAB & GO Iced Black', 178 yen (excluding tax) for 'GRAB & GO Iced Latte', and 158 yen (excluding tax) for 'CAFÉ FAVORITES Cafe Latte'.
